One of the greatest challenges in the journey with our reactive dog is explaining their behaviors to family and friends, or getting them on board with the training process. It took me several years to find peace and understanding on this path. I had to learn how to have the hard conversations. Today I am here to have the hard conversations for you, in the hopes of sparing you some mistakes me and my loved ones have made along the way.
Most of you reading this are owners of reactive dogs who are desperate for your family & friends to understand you. There are two ways to bring them in touch with the content of this guide.
1 - Use this guide as a frame of reference, a script on how exactly to answer even the most uncomfortable, rude, and provocative questions about your dog's condition.
2 - Give them this guide by printing it out or emailing it. The guide is written in a way that addresses them directly. You can highlight or annotate passages that are especially important for you + your dog before passing it on to them.
